The idea of a reality competition show on DVD is odd. You already know who won, so why watch? Then again, this is Gordon Ramsey. It’s Hell’s Kitchen Season One on DVD and it’s "Raw and Uncensored" or so says the box.
I find it funny that they’re promoting this DVD as including "Gordon’s Infamous […]
It wasn’t a big surprise when Rock turned out to be the winner for Hell’s Kitchen Season 3. What was probably the biggest surprise was the relative lack of drama in the final dinner service. Of course there was Julia’s conversion into an obnoxious contrarian, Josh’s inability to serve up quality crab cakes, […]
As we were all impatiently waiting for the finale to find out if Rock or Bonnie would be the executive chef of their own restaurant at Las Vegas’ Green Valley Ranch, Fox Television took the opportunity to grab a bit more of the ratings derby with a drawn-out pre-finale show. Fortunately, there was a […]
As we head into the finale for Hell’s Kitchen tomorrow night, the heavy favorite to come out victorious is Rock Harper. He is an executive chef up against a personal chef/nanny named Bonnie. One of the questions on many viewers’ minds is…if Rock is an executive chef, what does that mean? Where […]
So there really is a soft side to Chef Gordon Ramsay and he seems to have a great mum, too…who bakes macaroni and cheese! This week’s Hell’s Kitchen celebrated family on the way to the final elimination before the show’s finale. There’s nothing like a surprise visit from family members to […]
These were the final 4 remaining on this season’s Hell’s Kitchen until last Monday’s elimination of Julia (far right) whittled things down to 3. The final contestants, left to right, are Bonnie, 26, a nanny and personal chef from Los Angeles, Rock, 30, an executive chef from Virginia, and Jen, 26, a pastry chef […]
OK, I’m being polite with my wording in the title, but I don’t see a need to stoop to a certain level. The whiff of serious manipulation of the goings-on gets stronger and stronger on Hell’s Kitchen, but so does the slow move toward self-parodying comedy. Melissa’s night and day attempted emergence as […]
As Hell’s Kitchen continues to wind along, I feel the need to point out the obvious. The show is certainly not about the food. It is about verbal and psychological abuse. Unfortunately, this week’s episode even veered into territory of disdain for food.

According to a plaintiff in a current lawsuit, Hell’s Kitchen’s resident tyrant, Chef Gordon Ramsay, decided his upcoming Fox reality show needed a bit of a fictional boost to make good food TV. This fall Fox is scheduled to begin airing Ramsay’s new show Kitchen Nightmares. The thrust of the new series is […]
It’s getting hot in the kitchen this summer! Three intense reality cooking shows are running simultaneously to keep foodies entertained through the dog days of June, July, and August. Bravo is delivering a 3rd big season of Top Chef Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET. Not to be outdone, the Food Network has […]
